At Caliburn, we are committed to strengthening and enriching the communities where we live and work. By donating time, talent, and financial resources, Caliburn employees are having a positive impact and making a difference in the lives of others.
In addition to charitable giving and employee volunteerism, Caliburn started the Global Operations Foundation, which embodies the generous nature and caring culture of our employees. Working in partnership with national and international programs, the Foundation addresses significant problems facing communities around the world and focuses on education and child welfare, environmental stewardship, humanitarian relief, health and wellness, law enforcement, and service member support.
Employee Outreach in Action
Personal Protective Equipment Donation
Caliburn donated more than 1,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) items to answer the call put out by the Brevard County Emergency Management Operations Center (EOC) requesting PPE and supplies supporting local hospital workers and emergency responders. Utilizing Caliburn’s Mobile Medical Unit (MMU), Caliburn representatives delivered 1,000 masks, 150 boxes of gloves, and 10 cartons of gowns to aid local long-term care facilities such as nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
Caliburn employees participated in a reading party for kids at the Pajama Program Reading Center/Atlanta. The Pajama Program provides storybooks and pajamas to children nationwide who are experiencing challenges beyond their control. The Caliburn Atlanta team read books to the children, and our employees generously contributed sets of pajamas, books, and more than $1,000 to support the Pajama Program.
Balad Air Base, Iraq
Back-to-School Supply Drive
As part of an ongoing community outreach program at Balad Air Force Base, Caliburn employees initiated a school supply drive to support the local community and children around the base. More than half of the base’s employees are Iraqis, with many living with their families in the immediate surrounding area. School supplies were collected from employees returning from R&R and financial donations were made to purchase additional supplies locally. More than 400 backpacks filled with supplies were distributed to local children.
Al Garraf, Iraq
Turning Back the Tide
Flooding in the Al Garraf area of Iraq caused substantial water damage to classrooms at the local school. Responding to a plea for assistance, employees from Caliburn’s Risk Management team donated a portable cabin to the school in Al Mutliej Village. The cabin, which is now being used as the main office and a classroom, helped restore a sense of normalcy for the more than 100 students who attend the school.
