Primary Function

The Caliburn Analytics team is currently seeking a high-energy data scientist. The ideal candidate will analyze data and extract insights and patterns from various sources to help forecast future events, automate processes, and increase performance for the company and for our clients.


  • Build state-of-the-art advanced analytic capabilities within the Analytics team to support the business units across the company and our clients.
  • Work closely with the Caliburn business units to propose analytic solutions for effective decision intelligence
  • Analyze and interpret large amounts of data from a range of sources, leveraging data mining, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and analytic tools.
  • Design and build algorithms to identify patterns and trends and extract meaningful insights into both structured and unstructured data.
  • Identify and assess data sources and data-gathering techniques
  • Develop prototypes and proof of concepts and communicate value to clients and business units within the company
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology, techniques, and methods and propose new algorithms
  • Explore and Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as required for specific projects
  • Communicate analysis, results, and ideas to key decision makers including business and technical stakeholders.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering or related field. Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in the analytics, cloud, or IT space
  • 4+ years of practical experience with ETL, data processing, database programming and data analytics
  • The ability to obtain and maintain up to a Secret Clearance, which requires U.S Citizenship.
  • Excellent pattern recognition and predictive modeling skills
  • Strong knowledge of advanced analytics, specifically artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • Knowledge of statistical and machine learning algorithms including Decision Trees, Linear/Logistic Regression, Neural Networks, and Random Forests.
  • Experience with R, Python, SQL, MySQL, and Spark
  • Experience with cloud providers, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure
  • Ability to think through analytics projects from start to finish
  • Excellent pattern recognition and predictive modeling skills
  • Knowledge of up-to-date technology trends
