CAPE CANAVERAL, FL – Caliburn International has donated more than 16,700 personal protective equipment (PPE) items to the Valley Baptist Medical Center (VBMC) locations in Harlingen and Brownsville, TX. Donated items included face masks, goggles, face shields, gloves, gowns, shoe covers, and caps.

Caliburn’s Executive Director of Health and Human Service Programs, Melissa Aguilar, and Delma Gallegos, Director of Medical Services-TX, presented the PPE donation to VBMC-Harlingen representatives on August 21. “We want to help make a difference in these neighboring communities, wherever help is needed,” Aguilar said.

Amanda Landrum, Market Director, Supply Chain Logistics and Operations, and Manny Chacon, Master of Public Policy and Management, Strategic Marketing, accepted the donation on behalf of VBMC. “We sincerely appreciate such a large donation. These items will benefit the hospital greatly during this time,” Landrum said.

The donation to VBMC is Caliburn’s second PPE donation to the Rio Grande Valley area in recent weeks, following a similar donation to DHR Health in Edinburg, TX. Similar donations were also made to the Brevard County Emergency Management Operations Center and the Baptist Health Foundation, both in Florida. “Caliburn is proud to support the medical teams in our local communities, especially during these unprecedented times,” said C.D. Moore, Caliburn’s Chief Operating Officer.
